Hiking in Oslo's Nordmarka round Mylla vatnet
Sunday, 24 September 2006
22 Sept 2006 Autumn in Norway We planned a few days of hiking and camping in Oslo's Nordmarka and well near Mylla Vatnet.

We found ourselves a very idillic place somewhere at Mylla Vatnet to place our tent. A place we where before in spring and waited to go back to after the 15th of september because after that date it is allowed to light a campfire again when you are out camping in the wild.

We planned some walkingtrips in the area together with finding geocaches so we would have some fun underway.

It became two very nice day's in wich we saw beautiful places warmed ourselves on the campfire and even saw an otter swimming just past our tent. The nature here in Norway is really First we went to our camp place. It seems since we last where here a lot of  cows dwelled this place as they marked it severely with their shit..... hmmm no problem thats easy cleaned up.

With a large peace of carton we get rit of all the cowflakes. Theres dead trees lying around  enough here in the environment so for a campfire there will be no problem finding wood.

We go on our way walk via blue marked trails, gravel roads and unmarked paths to some caches and return to our tent. The next day we wanna do a 7cache walk. A walk wich will go over mostly some forestpaths som gravelroad and partly just through the forest .... no paths....

Overwelming. All the shades of green you find now in the forest are a real tractation to your eyes.
Constantly we hear bells of sheep and cows walking in the forest. every now and then we meet some.
Allthough we where here in the weekend and allthough it is by its location a busy visited place we did not meet anyone on our path. Allthough on one of the peaks we where a still warm  not burning anymore campfire was at place.

We end up walking a little marked paths a little gravelroad and a LOT of bushing wich means walking just through the forest climbing up and down crossing swampy areas conquering bouldiering landscapes sliding sometimes littlebit down (allso wen we sometimes actually wanna go up...)  pushing our way through sometimes a undergrowth of small pines.

But allso following wildtracks walking trhough spacious mature pine forest with dark greend soft moss softiening our paths.

On our way we discover 7 geocaches see a lot of nice views fill our bottles from wild water streams to drink and eat LOTS of wild forest berries both blue and red hmmmm delicious!!!

See the fotoalbum Nice views!A very small geocache container
